Vegan Green Smoothie
I like to have one of these babies before yoga every morning so I can feel like Superman.
In this one we have:1 banana
1 avocado
a heaping handful of baby spinach
1 scoop of progressive vegegreens spirulina based protein powder
2 cups of almond milk
This nutrient dense, easy to digest smoothie will leave you feeling fuller longer than your average fruit smoothie because the high sugar content of fruit is balanced with the fiber of the green leaves.  Get it in ya.

Banana Mango Smoothie!
- this has been one of my favorites by far since eating raw and using smoothies to take to work with me. This is a delicious and fruity smoothie, nutritious and very satisfying!
The recipe is from my friends at Young and Raw and its as follows (with a slight personal modification of less dates):
- 2 frozen Bananas - 1 Mango - 2 Medjool Dates (pitted) - 2 cups of filtered water
Put all the ingredients in a high powered blender and serve! This makes a full quarter jar which I use as a meal. This one is also a great example for colleagues and friends who ask me about these “milk-less” smoothies I drink, they find it delicious!
I personally stack up on frozen mango (all natural) as now fresh mango starts to be scarce. Bananas are frozen in order to get rid of the starch they contain which makes digestion harder, once frozen that is no longer a problem. I buy whole bananas (about 30-34 per week) I peel them, cut them in 2 and put them in a plastic bag in my freezer so I can use them for many different smoothies or ice kreams during the week.
